Nature’s Rarest Fragrance

Forms only when the tree is wounded. Wild sources are endangered.

Rarity Agarwood forms inside the Aquilaria tree only when it is wounded or infected, causing it to produce a deeply fragrant resin. Wild agarwood is classified as endangered by CITES, making cultivated agarwood of critical global importance.

Value among the most expensive woods in the world, premium-grade sinking agarwood can command prices of up to $40,000 per kilogram. A single mature tree (10+ years) can be purchased for up to $100,000.

Luxury Worth Its Weight in Gold

One of the world’s most expensive woods with ultra-high prices.

Global Demand, Growing Market

Strong demand across Asia, the Middle East, and worldwide.

Demand The global agarwood market was valued at USD 32 billion in 2019, with demand concentrated in China, India, the Middle East, Japan, South Korea, Europe, and the United States. Vietnam holds a natural advantage in producing high-quality agarwood at scale.

Revolutionizing Agarwood

Formation with Rapid, Precise, High-Yield

Innovation

Breakthrough

A Breakthrough in Agarwood Formation

Conventional agarwood trees can take up to 100 years to mature — and still may never produce resin naturally. Lux Agarwood’s proprietary inoculation technology changes everything. After inoculation, the formation process begins within just 2–3 months. Trees remain alive and healthy, continuing to accumulate resin over time — producing denser, richer, higher-grade agarwood with every passing year.

Our method is proactive and precise: injection points are carefully calculated to maximise yield per tree, while the tree’s vitality is preserved for long-term accumulation. No chemicals that block export. No shortcuts that compromise quality.

Farm to export

Agarwood Solutions

Plant from Seed

We grow agarwood from scratch — from laboratory germination all the way to field-ready trees. Full farm setup available for 5 to 200 hectares.

Inject Existing Trees

Already have land and trees? Our engineers inject our proprietary formula into your existing Aquilaria trees, activating resin formation within months.

Manage Your Farm

We offer complete farm management — monitoring, pest control, health checks, and harvest planning. A truly hands-off agarwood investment.

Export to the World

We handle export logistics to the UAE, Middle East, Japan, South Korea, Europe, and the United States. All products are 100% natural and export-compliant.

We believe prosperity should be shared. Through our cooperation model, local farmers partner with Lux Agarwood engineers from inoculation through to harvest — with a 50/50 profit split, a guaranteed buy-back, and flexible payment options. Our minimum farm commitment is 3 hectares, and a single hectare can support up to 10,000 trees.

Global Agarwood Market

    Market Growth

Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR)

The global agarwood market was valued at USD 32 billion in 2019 and is projected to reach USD 64 billion by 2029 — driven by rising demand in perfumery, traditional medicine, and luxury goods.

      Endangered & Protected

CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora)

Agarwood-producing Aquilaria species are listed under CITES Appendix II, meaning international trade is strictly regulated due to the species being endangered from over-harvesting in the wild.

        The Price of Rarity

        International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO)

Agarwood is considered one of the most expensive raw materials in the world — with high-grade resinous wood fetching prices comparable to gold, driven by its extreme scarcity and global spiritual demand.

          Middle East Demand

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)

The Middle East accounts for a significant share of global agarwood consumption, where burning oud and bakhoor is deeply embedded in cultural identity, hospitality traditions, and religious practice across the region.

            The Oud Perfume Boom

Fragrance Foundation / International Fragrance Association (IFRA)

Oud has become one of the most sought-after ingredients in luxury perfumery worldwide, with major global fragrance houses incorporating agarwood-derived oud oil into their most exclusive and best-selling collections.

              Southeast Asia as the Source

              World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF)

Southeast Asia — particularly Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Cambodia — represents the world's most important production zone for agarwood, with Vietnam's Aquilaria crassna species recognised as producing some of the highest quality resin globally.
